Hello, everyone! I hope you all had a fantastic time over the holidays and you`re ready to slay 2017. I don`t know why I used that word, so let`s move on. At the beginning of last year, I wanted to read 50 books, but I had to narrow down my list due to health problems. I changed my challenge to 40 books and I`ve managed to read 43, so I`m very pleased with that. This year, however, I`m hoping that I will hit the 50 mark. On top of that, I want to diversify my reading preferences. YA books will probably remain my main focus, but I want to include more classics and some non-fiction books as well. Rather than making a list of the books I want to read, I will focus on the topics they have to talk about:
- A historical fiction set in Rusia
- A feminist autobiography
- A historical non-fiction
- A collection of poetry
- A short stories collection
- A play by William Shakespeare
- A book based on a true story
- A book about mental illness
- A Sci-Fi book
- A dystopia that`s not YA
- A book published in 2017
- A controversial book
- A book that was banned
- A fairytale re-telling
- A book set in the Middle East
- A book that was turned into a movie/TV Show
- A romance book (my most disliked genre)
- A book set in WW1 or WW2
- A graphic novel
- A cover buy
Hopefully, I will have a book in each of these categories, but I might cheat and mix two or three. Truth be told, I already have lots of books on my TBR. I also want to start a feminist series, where each month I will talk about a different feminist book. I might turn it into a book club, but nothing is set in stone so far. My next post will be about the top 10 classics I want to read in 2017, so stay tuned for that. Until then, happy reading!
cant wait for all the recommendations! :) I definitely want to read more too!

I like your list A feminist book I'll recommend is We should all be feminists by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. It's a very fast and good read, I'm sure you'll enjoy it
